A State of Emergency
On May 11th, 2017, The Yemen Relief Project (formerly known as Project Feed Yemen) received an urgent phone call from our partners in Yemen. A state of emergency was declared in the country. The death toll has risen to 923. More than 100 people are dying per week from DEHYDRATION caused by this PREVENTABLE DISEASE. Our non-profit organization, Yemen Relief Project (yemenreliefproject.org), is actively responding to the crisis with the campaign, Project Heal Yemen: Curing Cholera.
Every $10 you give will save 1 life.
Here are the facts from our partners on the ground in Yemen: 156 patients are presenting per day at Al-Thawra Hospital, the largest hospital in Sanaa, Yemen. 25% of patients are NOT able to afford the $10 treatment (fluids and antibiotics) needed to cure their illness. A meal at a restaurant or a few cups of coffee ($10 !!!) to save one life in Yemen. This is what we need from you!
We are partners with the medical non-profit Live to Give based in Sanaa, Yemen, that is working on the ground to help pay for patients unable to afford the treatments. Our plan is to fundraise, send the money, and give you live feedback about where your donation is going.
